Abstract:
Pinterest, social networking using online pinboard phenomena, burst onto the scene a couple of months ago.
Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.
Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests.
So what is Pinterest and how can you use it in the classroom?
Here are some links with I will refer too. They are useful background

Postscript
This was a great session which threw up a number of questions, issues and some more resources
One question was can you create a private board and share the link?
Apparently not yet http://www.quora.com/Pinterest/How-do-you-make-a-private-board-on-Pinterest
Another question was can you sent a URL to just one of your boards. Yes you can e.g. http://pinterest.com/ictedservices/bicycles/ but of course that page is full of links which take you to other pages
